This workshop is an online course that will be completed at your leisure - anytime 24 hours a day over a course of three weeks. The workshop will incorporate video lectures, powerpoint presentations and written assignments. You will also be asked to join 2 teleconference calls. Program facilitators often hear their students say “this program is boring!” And the natural response is to find appropriate ways “spice up” your program. However, as an educator you must balance making an activity fun while at the same time ensuring it is effective and salient. One way of approaching this situation is to think like a child! This session invites participants to approach the delivery of prevention, cessation and intervention activities in ways that engage learners on multiple levels, enhances the durability of the learning, and increases the likelihood that what is experienced in the classroom will be transferred and applied to solve real world challenges. Participants will be able to use these fun and innovative techniques when delivering any type of prevention or cessation/intervention program
