Effective Program Strategies for Successful Youth Programs

This class is recommended for program managers, supervisors, and staff members who work directly in youth programs that must demonstrate effective outcomes. Whether developing and implementing new youth programs or sustaining existing youth programs, effective program strategies are critical to being successful in reaching desired program outcomes. This class focuses on core essentials such as: adolescent development, assessment and evaluation, prevention research and best practices for successful youth programming. Participants engage in interactive activities designed to highlight each of the core essentials and to understand the effectiveness of the program strategies. 

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to identify core essentials and effective program strategies for successful youth programs.
  • Participants will be able to identify and implement youth assessment tools.
  • Participants will be able to identify potential areas of modification in their own programs.
  • Participants will be able to utilize a logic model approach in measuring program effectiveness.
