This webinar will feature the leadership and innovative work of two state health departments to strengthen the management of asthma in schools. Asthma is one of the most common chronic health conditions for students and a leading cause of school absenteeism. Panelists will share processes and outcomes that have been a part of their asthma initiatives, with a focus on interventions for schools to identify and track students with asthma, implement asthma action plans, and coordinate care with medical providers. The webinar will highlight the partnerships and collaborations that have been key to broadening the impact of the state health department in this area.
