The National Center for Health in Public Housing and Community Health Partners for Sustainability are proud to co-host “Engaging Residents of Underserved Communities: From Outreach to Quality Care ”, June 10-12, 2014 in beautiful Alexandria, Virginia.
“Engaging Residents of Underserved Communities: From Outreach to Quality Care” offers: • Examination of larger trends facing health centers and public housing advocates during our plenary session • In-depth analysis of HRSA’s 19 health center program requirements for current and future grantees during breakout sessions • Sharing of innovative programs and best-practices from health centers, housing programs and social services agencies from around the country • Free one-on-one consultation with industry experts
The symposium is designed for health center administrators, clinicians, housing authorities, mental health and substance abuse counselors, sociologists, public housing resident advocates, social workers, the future workforce, and others who are interested in providing better quality health care to the underserved population. Select workshops will also offer CEUs for Nurses, Physicians, and Social Workers and Certified Health Education Specialists. We encourage all professionals, especially health center workers who serve the disadvantaged populations, to submit abstracts for workshops.
